There is nothing more satisfactory than a sweet treat, and it can’t get much better when that treat is great for your body!  There are many benefits from the fruits such as boosting immune system, helping to maintain normal blood pressure, reducing inflammation, and keeping your bones, blood sugar, thyroid gland and nerves healthy. The list really does go on.

The aftermath of all the Christmas treats can be a little depressing, and we’ve all sat there willing ourselves to get back onto the healthy bandwagon, but it can be a tad difficult to drag yourself out of the slump at times. I can’t think of an easier way to motivate yourself to get back into the habit of eating well then to start with these delicious smoothie recipes that will restore your body of all the vitamins and minerals the festive season has deprived it of!

Apple pie is a well loved dessert and one of my favorites! But all that pastry and sugar isn’t going to do us any favors… so if you are struggling to get up and motivate yourself in the morning, this smoothie might just do the trick! And two added bonuses are its vegan and gluten free! Extra yummy and you don’t need to feel guilty about it after! 1 frozen banana
1.5 cups almond milk
