All black: carrousel, fountain, elevator, carpet. Everybody knows that Louis Vuitton is not only about fashion, it’s about art, creativity, outrageousness, passion. This is the scenario in which Marc Jacobs said good-bye to Louis Vuitton through his last collection presented at Paris Fashion Week. Under the eyes of the most influential persons of the fashion industry (like Franca Sozzani, Anna dello Russo), the designer paid a tribute to all his muses (including Coco Chanel, Miuccia Prada) and the showgirls who inspired him along his career.
This collection was a statement. A statement for reminding us what is Louis Vuitton, the power of the brand. The show began with a model dressed in a nude overall displaying the words Louis Vuitton and Paris. Moreover, the feather accessories were present throughout the entire show. Jacobs said: “Now nobody wears white, we all wear black” explaining the chromatic palette with black predominant garments of the collection. Along with it, leather accessories (biker boots, bags) were used in combination with jeans and shiny feathers.
I like a lot of garments of this collection due to their rock-chic-glamorous touch. Even if the rock phenomenon in fashion is kind of abused these days, I feel Marc Jacobs succeeded in personalizing it so much and so differently than the others. The combination of black garments with the jeans element together with feathers is very unique, but yet classy.
So, fashionistas, don’t cry after Marc. I am sure his next project will surprise us as much as this collection did. With or without Louis Vuitton, his intriguing style and crazy creativity will be present in every garment wearing his signature!

A must this season: black leather boots.
My choice:
Feather detail jacket and bag together with dark jeans and leather boots. I would totally wear this one!
