The first time I saw Miu Miu’s Spring Summer 2014 Collection presented at Paris Fashion Week, three words came into my mind: classy, young and…cotton candy! This collection isn’t necessarily one of my favorites, but it has that something which sticks into your mind. It can be the refinement of the coats, the modern twist given by the tights or just can be the pastel colors chosen by the designer in contrast with stronger ones- see the turquoise tights, red-purple combination.
How can one not love the pale-shiny sandals? Or the prints displayed on the coats with flowers and little animal motifs? We have to admit that Miuccia Prada did a great job mixing garments of different fabrics and colors. Shinny leather sandals together with colorful tights give the collection a young touch together with classy silk shirts. Soft make-up and natural hair of the models were perfect for the combination of various styles Miuccia Prada wanted to highlight.
Designer’s idea was to encounter classics: beginning with the childhood period to the adult woman and mixing them up. I feel she really succeeded in combining all-time classics in one intriguing collection that most of us won’t forget too soon!
My choice: Pale-yellow coat in combination with beige silky shirt and soft blue skirt.
Young classic: cat printed coat together with over-the-knee black tights and brown boots.
Showgirl classy: fringed skirt in combination with red shirt and white accessories.
Soft pink angular collar coat color blocked by stunning red boots.
Cotton candy outfit: matching skirt and coat accessorized with shiny leather nude sandals and white tights.
Safe combination on top, fearless on the bottom.
Brown-turquoise is a must!
