After my last articles, displaying and commenting Paris Fashion Week catwalks, I thought it’s time for a little fun. And if we are talking about fun and fashion shows, you all know which
the most waited presentation of the year is: Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show! This year the
show took place at Lexington Avenue Armory, New York. When I think of Victoria’s Secret presentation, I am surely picturing gorgeous models having fun on the stage accompanied by singers, natural walks, lots of costumes, jewelry and feathers and no limitations or rigidities.
This year on the stage together with the models were Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy and Neon Jungle. Taylor Swift was the most advertised presence of the night, mainly because she could hit the runway herself. While performing the hit “Trouble”, the singer was wearing a super-shimmery mini-dress and the angels did their runway in a Christmas-themed background.
All the costumes were as expected: beginning from the feather cliché costumes to the crazy teenagers’ ones, everything was so Victoria’s Secret. Even if we are not surprised anymore
about the costumes, the atmosphere and the fashion show itself make us want to see it every
year. This year the luckiest angel was Candice, who wore the $10 million Fantasy Bra, introduced on the stage by the Fall Out Boy. None of the usuals were missing: Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Cara Delevigne, Jordan Dunn and many others.
All in all, the parade exhibited lots of fun and positivity and this is the most important aspect. Once in a while we are tired of plain models, acting like hangers. We want to see attitude, personality and joy. So, guys, if you are in the mood for a drop of extravagance, gorgeous models and precious hand-made outfits, Victoria’s Secret 2014 Fashion Show is the answer!
