It’s not a secret that I fancy Valentino probably the most from all the designers in the world. I don’t know why, but Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli manage to amaze me over and over again! I admit that also the fact that my very first article I wrote was regarding Valentino’s Spring Summer RTW Collection (if you want to check it out, you can find it here), created some sort of emotional linkage with the Italian brand.
“Elegance is the balance between proportion, emotion and surprise”
Valentino Garavani
And exactly this is what Valentino is displaying frequently. With an amazing brand history, Valentino Fashion House was founded in 1959 in Rome and had its first feature in Vogue four years later, in 1963. Based on its founder’s concept of trying to make women look beautiful, the best way in achieving his goal was becoming a designer. Studying in Paris, Valentino Garavani returned to Rome where, giving the skills developed in the fashion capital of haute couture, had tremendous success with his sartorial and really feminine style of creating dresses.Soon after his success spread all over the main fashion cities, he expanded his collections in the fields of menswear and ready-to-wear gaining an important position into the casual, every-day clothing sector. Now, his fashion house creations are in the hand of the talented creative directors Maria Grazia and Pierpaolo, whom are creating real state-of-arts.
Contrasting their SS14 Collection, where the prevailing colors used were dark shades, this one starts fresh in some vibrant colors of fuchsia and poppy red. The designs and prints are amazing, fabrics in the highest possible quality and the cuts just take the word “style” to another level. But enough with the words, let’s see the beauties:
We talked about fringes as being the SS14 ultimate trend, but it seems the designers cannot let go in using this awesome accessory on their pieces!
A stylish combination of printed red, pink and b&w dots, all applied on a deep V-neck mini-dress!
For a more conservative look, Valentino recommend us a colorful printed midi dress along with an oversize black coat
Go dotted or go home- this is the message transmitted by the oversize dotted cape!
It seems fuchsia is the new black in the designers’ vision!
The deep V-neck straight-cut midi red dress looks amazing in the color-block combination with green accessories!
The fuchsia mini dress feels really modern-edgy due to the long sleeves and neck découpage
Even-though choosing a monochrome black dress, make sure the accessories are vibrant!
The first part of the collection was painted in pink and poppy red, along with black and white tones, ensuring an up-to-date look! As you can see the skirt and the dress are the stars of this collection, guaranteeing the feminine look Garavani promises. There are more conservative, as well as more girly and playful outfits, just perfect for any woman in love with stylish designer pieces!

What can be more elegant that a tulle dress worn with a pair of poppy red boots?
The fabrics used by the designers vary from tulle unblemished dresses to cashmere sweaters and leather garments: it’s clearly a journey of quality confections! One more time the femininity of this clothing line is highlighted by emphasizing the waist in every item!
An all black outfit consisting of a black cape, under-the-knee boots and sunnies
Take out your old capes from the closet because this season they are IN! If not, just buy new ones since shopping is our favorite sport 🙂 Either you choose a royal blue one, classical black or modernish brown, I assure you that it will be the statement-piece of this autumn!
Metallic printed shirt-collar mini dress accessorized with red ankle-strap high heels
Alluring embroideries are the brands’s signature detail!
Wear a metallic leather coat and you’ll capture all the attention in the room!
Well, metalics and leather clothes have never seemed so edgy to me. From beautiful embroidered dresses to metallic leather printed coats, Valentino’s collections gets bolder season after season. But what about the midi studded leather coat?
