Hair can gives us a hard time keeping up with it, we constantly have to make sure it looks good, that our roots are dyed and not oily and that we have volume to make everyone turn their heads, right?

Well, considering the weather in many countries, the fact that summer brings along a whole ton of heat and humidity in most places and that hair gets oily no matter the season, dry shampoo is here to help.

Summer is a time to give your hair the most care and attention in the world, as it is a highly rough period for it. Besides this, everybody hates their beautiful strands to be oily, so this is why we have for you a Top 5 best Dry Shampoos On the Market.

We have thought and thought and tried several times, different ways of adjusting our hair for the dry and humid periods of the year, but the good thing about Dry Shampoos is that they can be used at any moment, when you feel like giving your hair a boost, or when you do not feel like washing it…again.

This time again, while thinking of ways to come up with the Top 5, I went in and tried the products that I will be talking about, because I find it the best way to make sure I convey the right information to you, the reader. Of course, i will start with talking a bit about my hair, because what works for my hair might not work for yours, so I have also asked some of my friends who have been using dry shampoos to tell me about their tryouts.

Personally, I have been “blessed” with oily, volume less hair ever since I have known myself. My hair is extremely thin and it tangles just by looking at it, not even taking into consideration wind or any other weather conditions. Saying this, for many years, I have struggled with finding ways to cover the oily hair, as I did not want to wash it every single day(I found that rather tedious and annoying). I have tried maybe hundreds of products and nothing seemed to work, until I have discovered with joy the dry shampoos. Obviously, coming from a small country, you couldn’t find dry shampoos in Romania, so my quest in finding them began.

The first ever dry shampoo I have tried was in Canada, where I have tried many different ones and fell in love with them all, then I have brought several ones home, just to have a stash, until I leave for university in London and could find some more. So I began by using it regularly and I couldn’t be happier with it.

However, when the time for this article came in I panicked and realized that I have never used one single type of dry shampoo, all the time, I just picked randomly, so I tried to figure out ways to remember which ones I liked more and why. For this, thankfully I have my best friend and she reminded me of my great love for one of the dry shampoos I will write about, the one I have introduced her to as well.

So, because dry shampoo does not have much of a history of the product, here are our Top 5 picks for you!

#1 Batiste Dry Shampoo

This one is my ultimate favorite. As I said before, I did not have one single dry shampoo brand that I have kept using, beginning until now, but whatever I did, I have kept coming back to this one. At first it was the appearance, as I have completely adored the way it looked, and then I have kept trying different scents and sizes. I love this one because it makes my hair actually have volume and it sucks up the oil in my hair, making me not need to use it every day and also, not need to wash my hair every other day either. It is perfect for any type of hair, as all the friends I have asked have also kept returning to it after trying something else.

#2 L’Oréal Everstyle Energizing Dry Shampoo

I have only tried this one once, for this article, but I was quite please with the results. However, I have found that the bottle finished up pretty fast. Nevertheless, I have a friend who swears by it and finds it great and amazing for her hair, which is quite textured anyways. She loves the fact that it is invisible on the strands, while Batiste and some of the others can leave traces if you are not applying it in a careful manner, this one stays invisible on her locks which come in a very dark color however she applies it.

#3 Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo

If you have very fine hair, like I do, you will love and adore this dry shampoo. Besides the amazing smell, the Fructis range got us used to, this one gives you instant, wonderful volume like no other. I used it very often and I still do now, when I want some extra volume that I can’t get through any other ways. Try it and you won’t regret it!

#4 Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oak Milk

I have very sensitive skin, so the first dry shampoo I have ever tried was this one, made for sensitive scalps. So, if any of you think that they have very sensitive skin, or their hair has weird reactions to products, like mine does, try this one first. I have stopped using it when I have discovered Batiste and preferred the smell and size of that one, but this one is very very good for people who have scalps that start itching or have any other reaction to hair products. It takes care of your scalp and makes your hair less oily. It is a bit more expensive than the other, but you can find it in basically any pharmacy without any problems.

#5 Nexxus Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Dry Shampoo

While asking everybody about dry shampoos, another one of my friends came up to me and told me about this one. I have never heard of Nexxus as a beauty brand, but apparently it is amazing. It has an argan oil base, so, besides helping you skip a wash or two, it helps your dry ends recover from virtually anything. So why not love this one?
