Hello to another sunny Sunday and this time from Lisbon, Portugal.
Today I want to bring up a hot topic, related to hair styles and in particular to Short Ombré Hairstyle. As you might know for the last two years I have been back and forth with Ombré hair and I cannot let go of it, because I love it way too much to change it in the near future. It is super easy to maintain and it can even be done at home. For more insights on Ombré hairstyles, check my first article on this topic!
How do you feel about your hairstyle? When was the last time you changed it?
We live in such a demanding world, where everyone and everything requires our attention, from the minute we wake up and until we lay our head on the silk soft pillow. It is becoming harder and harder to keep up with all the demands and still take care of our womanly needs, like hair care.
Some people afford to go regularly to the salon and get a polished hairstyle each week and they do not have to worry about a thing. However, most of us, cannot afford this luxury and need to make time to think about what we want, how we want it and when we are able to get it done.
Plus, one big frustration is that you might find an amazing hairstyle and you go to your stylist full of confidence and leave the salon totally disappointed, because the result is not even close to what your picture has stated.
Although, I have been away from home for 3 weeks already, working crazy hours each day and running from one event to another (I started with Belgium and ended up in Portugal), I had some time to look in the mirror and realize that my hair needs a change! Don’t get me wrong, I love my color, but I am bored with the current hairstyle and I just feel I need a change. It might be the beginning of Spring, but I want to look in the mirror and see a more stylish and updated version of my hairstyle.

Being so busy all the time, handling one online business, my final year at university, plus my voluntary projects I feel like there is no more time for handling a really long and thick hair and I am looking for a faster maintenance option – getting my hair cut!
While looking for some inspiration, but keeping in mind my love for Ombré hairstyles, I found some really inspiring pictures that I want to share with all of you, that might be in the same situation!
#1. Straight Short Ombré Hairstyle
If you have a natural straight hair that is also thin, these Straight Short Ombré hairstyles are ideal for you! You won’t spend much time on styling since all you need is to blow dry and voila, you are good to go! If you don’t have natural straight hair, you might want to consider twice before taking the decision of changing your hairstyle to this one, since it will require daily straightening, which means having a good straightener and time.
#2. Messy Short Ombré Hairstyle
These hairstyles are best for everyone, regarding their hair type because they are easy to do and although they are ‘messy‘ they look so cool, fresh and young! Add some mouse and blow dry and you will most probably have a stylish messy hairstyle!
#3. Wavy Short Ombré Hairstyle
This is totally my cup of tea because I have thick hair that is also wavy. Of course, I cannot wash my hair and blow dry it and voila, it will look flawless and wavy, but with a curling iron or – my favourite tools – the hair rollers, my hair will look fabulous! Usually, I wash my hair at night, air dry it (less damage) and before going to bed, I put the hair rollers and sleep with them. In the morning, I take them off and style it with my fingers, add some bobby pins when needed and I am good to go! Easy – breeze- healthy!
#4. Editorial-like Short Ombré Hairstyle
Although, most probably none of us can pull this off at home, when I found it I knew I had to share it, because it looks amazingly powerful and I would totally wear it at a cocktail party. Just ask a friend or go to the beauty salon and get it done!
