Spring/Summer 2015 Ready-To-Wear: Oscar De La Renta Women’s Collection

//Spring/Summer 2015 Ready-To-Wear: Oscar De La Renta Women’s Collection

Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2015 women’s collection was presented as a combination of sweet, pastel colors, emphasizing the feminine in his creations. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Not at first sight, anyway. He always underlines and gives a feminine touch to all his work. However, if you take a closer look, you will definitely be amazed by the series of powder pink and baby blue pieces, by the black and white combinations, by the lovely, girlie and floral dresses that were brought forward on the runway, and by the simple fact that, he knows what he’s doing.

“There is no one on earth who makes a woman feel more beautiful than Oscar de la Renta”, said model Karlie Kloss after the show.

The collection starts with some powder pink keynotes, where gingham seems to be take a special place. You will see the gingham is one particular fabric, being present in pink, blue, black, and it is a trend to note this spring. The pink and white combination gives a girlie and a fresh twist.

Black and withe gingham follows up the pink one on a skirt, a trench coat and a co-ord.

Next, we have the baby blue gingham, which also looks great with white next to it, giving, again, a fresh and young look to the outfit, but also to the person wearing it. It seems both casual and elegant at the same time, depending on the pieces combined.

Which color expresses purity and innocence and elegance in its best way? White. A white suite. White, sheer, pierced dresses.

A two-color combo follows up the pastels, with black and white broderie anglaise on three-quarter-length skirts.

Before plunging into the florals, there where presented also black and white flower printed dresses. Colored flowers are next, on jackets, on coats, on dresses, on the neckline, everywhere: a true source of inspiration!

The final category and the pièce de résistance, as always, is represented by the most spectacular dresses and gowns he can make, related to the season and theme of the collection. And I am sure we can say that all Oscar de le Renta dresses have something that catches the eye: maybe the simple form, maybe the opulent fabrics, prints or patterns, maybe a combination of colors or just one particular color, or maybe the young and fresh air the he gave the collection.

He always left the best for last, just like waiting for the desert. And he never let down! So here they are: beautiful dresses of the Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear Women’s Collection. Chic, elegant, feminine, girlie!

Looking at de la Renta’s collection, you may seem to think that he’s the perfect designer to dress a woman. And you’re probably right. The fact that he wants to create clothes that women will actually wear and feel comfortable and beautiful in is maybe more important than the actual clothes. And, as we all can expect, a goal like this is delivered with lots of hard work, effort and creative genius.
