After surprising the audience with the blonde Barbie collection, Moschino continued the series this time with the famous Looney Tunes characters.
Warner Bros’ cartoons, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester and Tweety, The Tasmanian Devil, were present on Jeremy Scott‘s outfits, taking us back to the Golden Age of American Animation.
Color blocking jackets, trousers, shirts, co-ords or hats and even sun glasses were all over the runway. Let’s not forget the layers of chains! After the color block and cartoons outfits, a series of denim patchwork and bling followed on the runway and finally, some beautiful and colorful graffiti prom-looking gowns.
Color block & Looney Tunes
Jeremy Scott’s runway show opened with a series of wild color combinations, from blue and yellow to green and orange to purple and orange to yellow and orange to red and yellow or red and blue, with different colored accessories. Colored puffer jackets were a hit. They were combined with trousers or skirts and gave much volume and attitude to the outfit.
The cartoons appeared on long sweaters that could be easily worn as dresses, basketball vest dresses and jackets. The Looney Tunes – basketball combo made me think of the funny Space Jam movie, where the characters accompanied Michael Jordan in a basketball game versus the aliens (perhaps the movie was a source of inspiration for Scott).
Patchwork & Bling
The designer played with denim and golden accessories. Most of his denim outfits are made of patchwork by combining different shades of denim and some golden touches. Lots of his models wore gold slogan chains and earrings.

Black sporty outfits, layered with lots of chains, were also used, most of them inspired from hip hop singers and basketball/baseball/hockey players’ styles. Hoodies, sports bags, black and white graphic prints: check! Orange army-looking printed jackets brought an extra touch of color to these outfits.
Another main character of Scott’s collection was the toy bear, present on bags, jackets and even a fur coat with its shape. Also, a whole outfit was dedicated to it and the new perfume, “Toy”, which everybody received at arrival. It is said to be “the world’s cutest perfume”.
Graffiti
“It was a hyper homage to Moschino circa the Eighties – cocktail frocks and prom dresses in black velvet and boasting pink and blue explosions of fabric (no doubt Jeremy Scott’s former muse, Barbie, will have had a couple of these hanging up in her wardrobe in her time)”.
The final dresses looked like they were “attacked” with spray paint. So what if some spray paint gets on your dress? Jeremy Scott will teach you how to wear it. All you have to do is just watch and get inspired.

After taking a look at the Moschino Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection, I thought to myself: Jeremy Scott is a designer who loves to play with colors and different style and loves especially to combine them in order to get the craziest and the looniest results possible. And so he did! The collection was quite a show. A complete show.
“Since his appointment at the house, Scott has injected a serious dose of fun, wit and verve there – amplifying it to the max and joining its heritage dots to now. You’ll either love it or hate it.” (Jessica Bumpus)
