April’s American Vogue has been the talk of the week for a good reason. None other than Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have graced the cover with the topic proving extremely controversial. However, many, in my opinion, have been too quick to judge. How many people have actually watched Keeping up with Kardashians and seen Kim in her natural habit? Or shopped the Kardashian Kollection or Dash which her and her sisters have created?

5 Reasons why she is deserving of a cover
1. Glamorous shoot
Most importantly how glamorous does this whole shoot look? Reality star or not, Kim and Kanye look fabulous and those dresses are to die for. Forget her reality star status; imagine if she was a nobody, wouldn’t you think this shoot was beautiful? I believe so.
2.New things on the cover of Vogue
As Kimmy pointed out herself this is the first time a rapper, reality star and an interracial couple have graced the cover. Not to mention the first cover to have the longest hashtag ever. This cover is ground breaking.
3. Designers are creating for her
If Sarah Burton is more than happy to design an Alexander McQueen ensemble for Kimmy alongside Lanvin, we should be more than happy to see her wear it.

Furthermore, Anna Wintour has publicly defended the cover saying, (According to US weekly)
“Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it. I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)”
If Anna, Queen of the fashion world, can have Kim and Kayne on the front of the world’s biggest fashion magazine, we should also be as accepting.
5. Kim is perfect for Vogue because of her empowering and inspiring business career
Many argue that Kim’s dramatics past and origins of getting into the public limelight have been rewarded by becoming the Vogue cover star. However, if we think about it how many celebrities out there have had a prim and proper past where they have never made any mistakes? We forget that Kim is an entrepreneur that inspires and empowers many women out there. After all isn’t that what Vogue is all about? Moreover, Kim wasn’t even aware, at the time of shooting, that any of the photos would make the front cover.
