Here we are again, with our new candidate for the Inspire Me project
This column Inspire Me was created to promote talented people from all over the world and to inspire other people who have talent TO DO what they LOVE and stop wasting any other minute on doing what others want from them. It is a big project, but i am sure that together we can create a community where people are not afraid to be amazing and show what awesome things they can do.
It is March and of course we have a new lovely designer to bring in front of you and show you what she can do! Stay tuned, in less than a week, we have another Giveaway!
Few words from Estilo-Tendances side
I got in contact with Laura‘s work at the Spring Fare, Timisoara – Romania, a month ago. I loved the colors and the attention to details. Although, she is a young fresh designer, you can easily see the passion she has for fashion and for creating new designs. I had the pleasure to meet her over tea and we had such a wonderful time, discussing our goals, dreams, future plans, views upon life and so on. She loves colors and she loves flowers, so her designs are just perfect for SPRING/SUMMER. If you want to take a peak at her work, check her facebook page!

A few words about yourself
I’m Laura Chiriţă (complicated last name, I know), I’m from Timisoara, Romania, I’m 25 years old and I am a tiny control freak working bee!
-
What is your dream and when did it started?
My dream is all about designing clothes and it started at the age of 3 when I started “drawing” dresses, and continued later on when my grandmother taught me how to actually make them. I always knew this is what I want, but I got a bit lost on the way, and went through some rough times, but that just made me want it more and work harder to be better at it!

Tell us more about what you do
I am still in design school, doing my masters, but even though I had some serious jobs in the past, this is now my only income. I still work from home, where I have a small room, as a studio. Right now my style is growing and maturing with me, but I can describe my line as wearable with an edge. I make a lot of custom made evening dresses, and I love that too. My business started with custom made dresses and commissions, so that is a part I don’t think I want to lose in the process or growing.
-
Why did you choose to follow your passion?
Because there are too many people not being happy with what they do for a living and I don’t want to be one of them. It’s very hard… I had to work besides designing to pay for school and bills, I even lost one year of school, because I couldn’t pay for it. But it’s worth it. I love it. Nobody helped me, and that made me appreciate it more.
-
Is it important that people do only what they love?
It’s very important. Money can’t bring you happiness. But find a way to make money out of what you love. First, be very good at it!
-
What qualities a person must have in order to succeed with their own dream?
Patience, persistence, drive and a bit of autism so they don’t get affected by other people telling them they can’t make it because they hit a bump in the road. There are gonna be ups and downs, this is how you learn and grow.
-
What are your goals for the nearest future?
Finish my masters, rent a bigger atelier, open an online store, more partnerships with stores and launch new collections with consistence.
-
When things so south, where do you find strength to move forward?
In myself, I am the only one who knows what I need to pick myself up. But when I forget, my boyfriend is there to remind me what I’m working for.
-
Where do you get inspired from?
I get my inspiration from nature, art, textures, architecture…and everything around me. Anything can trigger my research to develop into a story for a new collection.
-
Where can we find you if we want to buy your products?
Right now only on my Facebook page, but soon on some partner online stores.
