Let’s Talk Hair: Ombré Hair?
I am sure you have seen this trend all over the place: in magazines, on the catwalk… but perhaps, like me, you had no idea that it was called “ombré hair“. Ombré is a french word meaning shadow. Not only is it the most low-maintenance way to update your hair color (meaning you’ll save money and time at the salon!) but also one of the season’s hottest hair trends.
As celebrity hairstylist Umberto Savone of Umberto Salon in Beverly Hills said “this graduated color change, from dark to light, brings a lot of warmth to the face.” And i totally agree! With a gradual shift in color from darker towards your roots to lighter at the ends, this fashionable fall hair style will ensure that your locks always look lovely, your complexion glows and you’ll be as fashion forward as they come.
Love the natural hue of the ends of your hair?
Darken your roots about two shades darker than the existing hair color!
Prefer the natural hue of your roots?
Starting by lightening your ends about 2 shades lighter than the existing color.
The best part about this style? “It looks better as your hair grows out”, says Umberto, “no touch-ups needed!”
Yes, i know, it looks easy to do it at home (i have seen tutorials on youtube.com) but if you have never done this before, please go to a stylist.
I really love this trend, in my mind i keep on thinking that it was my answer to my question “how to dye my hair?”. My hair is dark brown and this summer i have decided to have it highlighted, but now i want more. I guess i will go for ombré. I must talk with my favourite stylist, which lives in Arad (60km from Timisoara), because she is great and i totally trust her opinions!
Ps: I fall in love with this trend because of Sarah Jessica Parker, in Sex and the City! Her hair always looked amazing!
