Lauren Conrad is an American television personality, fashion designer, author and recently wedding bouquets designer. People are obsessed with her website LaurenConrad.com where she shares beauty tips, fashion, crafting, cooking, but also a pinch of home decor inspiration and a scoop of fitness and health.

Lauren’s career started with her playing in the reality TV show ‘Laguna Beach: The Real Orange Country’, in 2004, where she grew up in the public eye. Because she wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry she moved to Los Angeles, in 2006, for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. There she was commissioned to star in the TV show ‘The Hills’, where she made a name for herself and MTV cameras started to follow her like crazy.

Over the course of 5 seasons in ‘The Hills’ Lauren created a unique and ‘easy style’ as Lauren Sherman from Fashionista said. Her style is romantic, feminine, young, fresh and classic.

LC brand was continuously growing, but in 2007 it reached an important step, the launch of the first clothing line, The Lauren Conrad Collection. The collection appeared at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles for two consecutive years.

#2. Books and magazines

Lauren seems amazing so far, right? Well, we still have some more surprises. Lauren is a New York Times best-selling author, several times over. Her debut on writing was the L.A. Candy series, and now she is on with the trilogy The Fame Game. She released her fashion book Lauren Conrad Style in 2010 and Lauren Conrad Beauty in 2012.

In Beauty Lauren offers tips for creating a strong foundation and maintaining healthy skin and hair through diet, exercise, and all-around wellness to everyday makeup techniques and tricks.

In Style Lauren gives tips on how to create a unique look, shares her favorite sources of inspiration, and identifies the absolute must-haves for any fashionista’s wardrobe.

Talking about bestsellers, but for magazines, Conrad has been featured on the covers of several, including those of People StyleWatch, Elle, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan. The May 2012 issue of Glamour sold approximately 500,000 copies and became the magazine’s strongest-selling issue of the year. (According to WWD.com)

We know Lauren looks amazing, but she confessed in the Beauty book that:

‘I will never love my thighs – it doesn’t matter how much my weight may fluctuate, but my upper legs stay the same. (To me, they’re short and wide.) But you’ve probably never singled out my thighs as overly well endowed, right? This could be because I’m the only one who notices. Try to overlook those parts of your body that you don’t love, in favor of the one that you do.’

It’s hard to say what we love most at Lauren, but as we can guess, everybody loves her hair.

Her hair always looks stunning, no matter the style: wavy curls, straight, classic, loose, messy waves, ‘faux bob’. In an interview for SheKnows, Lauren was asked how she constantly keeps her hair looking natural with those perfect beachy-waves? She said: ‘Dry shampoo is always a great trick!

#3. Style

On LaurenConrad.com we can find weekly tips on what to wear on different seasons, how to take care of ourselves during holidays, but also different self-improvement ideas. Here are five items Lauren thinks every woman needs in her closet: a perfect black dress, a great pair of pumps, skinny jeans, a black boyfriend blazer and a favorite maxi dress.

Lauren always knows how to mix and match clothes. Even though she can afford everything, fashion is not necessarily about money. In the following picture she looks classic and romantic in a pink dress and flesh-toned patent leather pumps.

Lauren shows how easy is to pair a simple silver stilettos from Aldo with a range of dresses and to be chic, romantic and sweet.

‘Never wear kitten heels. My biggest no no. They are the mullet of heels.’

Lauren’s style is infinite, she always surprises cameras. She takes casual pieces and mixes them with accessories to look glam for different times of day. She never loved her thighs, but instead of hiding them, she highlights the killer part of her body – the legs, and the slimmest part – the waist line.

We have a recent surprise from Lauren, who always delights our eyes with beauty. One of her favorite pastimes is flower arranging, so she got into the business. On her website you can find a DIY wedding bouquet and boutonniere piece especially for the wedding season which is coming fast.

‘Working with flower is fun, can save a pretty penny versus going to the florist, and it’s even a little therapeutic if you ask me’.

Lauren Conrad is a woman of style. She spreads beauty all over the places she goes, starting with the way she dresses and ending with the way she acts. Jim Higgins from Milwaukee Journal Sentinel compared her to a “young Martha Stewart”. (Read here)
