Are you a healthy person?
Well, you caught me. 5 years being a vegetarian, which, of course doesn’t necessary mean that I’m a healthy person, but I’m trying and even now after so long, I can say that is hard. But who doesn’t want to be healthy, fit, to have and live a happy life? the real question is what do you actually do for it?
We all know that in concern to live a healthy life we can’t smoke, we need to remain at a healthy weight, workout and of course we need to eat healthy.
May sound simple, but I do know that is not that easy to break all of your rules and habits about your life; is like when you restart your PC- as you know, takes a while to be on again. Similar to my example, people do silly things when they want to give a restart to their life, they make drastic changes from the first minute and when they face the difficulties all the motivation is vanished and they just give up.

The most important thing when you want to make a change in your life is using baby steps to succeed, cause you will realize that small changes lead to big results.
So if you care about yourself you should try our 23 tips on how to be a healthy person and live a healthy life:
1. Drink more water
Even if it’s winter or summer, our body needs water. Specially in the morning doctors recommend us to drink a glass of cold water because it help us to flush out all the toxins.
2. Sleep enough
If you feel tired you can’t concentrate to pay attention for the things that are around you. If you feel tired around 3-4 pm means that you didn’t had enough rest. Go to sleep if you can, no one wants to see you angry!
Sit in a comfortable position on a cushion, chair or bench and try to focus and quiet your mind for 3-4 minutes every morning. Meditation makes you more present to your reality and more positive.
4. Check your purpose of life
”Having a purpose is the difference between making a living and making a life”, said Tomm Thiss. It’s important to set goals and stick with your progress on achieving them!
5. Love yourself
Go to a mirror and look into your eyes. Ignore every thought that may come and just stay focused on your eyes. Really look inside that person you see reflected there. Just keep looking until you can see your beautiful heart.
6. Love your life
Love your friends, love your family, love your dog, love everything that makes you happy (and don’t forget to do more often those things)!

7. Don’t let negative people close to you
If you feel that someone close to you is not letting you the impression that is a positive person, don’t spend too much time around him/her.
8. Don’t let yourself to think negative
Every time when you have something negative on your mind, just try to take those thoughts out and replace them with nice memories.
Increase activity in you life, even if is just in the morning when you stretch your back, neck, legs. It will just wake your body from sleep.
If you don’t have time during the week, maybe you can squeeze some yoga classes in the weekend.
11. Daily walk
When you go for work, choose the longest way to the train station or bus. In this way you will release some stress of your feet.
12. Learn how to breathe properly.
When my brother (professional football player) told me that I’m not breathing properly I was laughing, but after I realized that I’m just taking shallow breathes and breathe to 1/3 of our lung capacity and a full breath is one where your lungs are completely filled, your abdomen expands and there is minimum movement in your shoulders. That’s why football players can run for one hour and a half.
13. Improve your posture
A good posture makes you look more attractive and also allows you to breath easily, so work on having one!
14. Eat more fruits and veggies
Especially in summer, when you have from where to choose. But try also to don’t forget to have one salad/day in the winter time. If you eat it before the main meal, you have incentives to eat less!

15. Say no to oily food
I know! who doesn’t like potato chips? But they are really bad for you, so it’s better to cut them from your shopping list, as well as other oily food.
16. Prepare your meals
You know what you want and what is good enough for you. If the portion was too big, you don’t have to eat it.
17. Don’t skip breakfast
Is just taking 15 minutes to make yourself some porridge with honey and banana or an omelette, why would you want to miss that?!
18. Avoid trigger foods
In my case is chocolate, any type of chocolate; if I’m eating a little one, I can’t stop after!
19. Take a water bottle with you
Carry a bottle of water with you. Put it in your purse, so this way you can fill up your fluids whenever you want!
20. Consume healthy snacks
I know that is not that crispy, but you should try almonds and nuts and you won’t be disappointed.
21. Try a vegetarian diet
You have a lot of things from where to choose even if is not about meat, still you can have fish.
22. Get out more often
When you have a job is hard to go out like you used to, but when you have a gap use it wisely.
Is good to have new friends and to find new activities to do! Enjoy the time with them as much as possible!
