What’s the most obvious color when it comes to Autumn? Brown and shades of brown. But how to wear brown and is it a trendy color? When we think about stylish outfits and cool accessories, brown may not be our very first choice of color. I often used to wonder why. But then I realized something: once you get to understand fashion better, you might get to understand that the colors of the earth (brown, copper, nude, camel) are true fashion statement colors which shouldn’t be ignored.

The shades I wrote above are only a few of the many shades of brown I have found on Pantone. If you take a look here, you will see that there are actually tens, maybe even close to a hundred, shades of brown. That is why you shouldn’t get bored with this color: it has many shades you can choose from in order to be stylish and on top of the trends.

How To Wear Brown

Brown is a neutral and natural color, therefore it can be the base of a very interesting outfit. As Pantone puts it, this season “displays an umbrella of accord that weaves earthy neutral with a range of bold color statements and patterns to reflect a landscape of hope, fun, fantasy and all things natural. The colors are evocative of love for nature and a timeless appreciation for warmth and security, which are conveyed through naturally inspired colors that remind us of things that are real and protective.”

Besides clothes, brown can also be worn as makeup (the most appreciated makeups are the natural ones) or as jewelry (rings, bracelets, statement necklaces), hats, bags, headbands or as a shoe color. Did I mention that brown is also on top when it comes to hair trends?

Anastasia Contour Kit

HERE ARE 8 Must-Have Beauty Products For Autumn FOR YOU TO USE THIS AUTUMN!

“A sleek, limited-edition palette with six shades: three for highlighting and three for contouring. Darker shades are ideal for shading and defining while lighter shades sculpt and enhance features.”

Is there anything to say besides the fact that a natural daytime makeup is the most elegant form of a makeup?

Burberry BE4186 Sunglasses

“The Burberry BE4186 sunglasses for women modernize retro high-fashion. These oval-shaped frames are designed with a single bridge and feature the Burberry label on the temple.”

We can’t go outside without a pair of sunglasses, am I right ladies? I always keep my favorite one in my handbag, just in case the sun decides to pop up on the sky.

EXPRESS Women’s Hats Faux Suede Twisted Band Fedora

Autumn can be very inspiring when it comes to clothing and accessories. You may not like brown very much, but I’m almost sure you like nude, beige or camel. So, instead of wearing your black fedora hat every time you go out, why not try a camel shade one?

Happy Color Geo Classic Small Brown Crossbody Bag

“Happy Color Geo Classic Small Brown Crossbody Bag crafted in signature geo classic print coated fabric with leather details has a youthful attitude with fun tassels that add flair to your everyday outfit.”

A leather bag is always a good idea, considering that it’s a long-term investment. Take your time when deciding to make such an investment: a bag like this will carry your personal things a long time from now on and you wish to make a good choice when buying it.

Remember when Olivia Palermo hit the streets in a suede fringed skirt and she looked amazing? I know I was stunned when I saw that skirt. It made me also remember why I like fringes. Wear your suede camel fringed skirt with a white, cozy turtleneck sweater.

Silk ’70s Shirt

“Crafted from the smoothest, soft silk, the tailored shirt goes completely refined. A classic silhouette which looks sleek with clean lines adds a touch of on-trend ’70s retro to your outfit. “

You might have thought that black and brown isn’t such a successful combination: here is an example that proves how a pair of black looking leather trousers matches perfectly a silk brown shirt. Don’t you agree? I would definitely wear such an outfit.

Faux Fur Collar Neat Cape

“Opt for a stylish alternative to the coat with this rich wool blend cape. Infinitely warm, it includes a detachable faux fur collar with a button front fastening and handy side pockets.”

Well, yes, autumn is here, winter is about to get here so a cool brown cape should be on our must-have list this season. Match several shades of brown in your outfit and you will look amazing.
