Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear: Tom Ford Women’s Collection

//Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear: Tom Ford Women’s Collection

The front row of Tom Ford’s Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection was filled with A-lists celebrities, such as: Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Rosie Whitley-Huntington with boyfriend Jason Statham, Sophia Vergara, model Emily Ratajkowski, Amber Valletta, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Campbell or Rita Ora, and many others.

This season, Tom Ford presented a type of bohemian-gypsy queen with a touch of romance and the collection was a success. The runway was veiled with white rose petals. “It never snows in Los Angeles. Let’s make it snow rose petals” said the famous designer.

His collection brought denim, fringe, animal prints, a kind of Southwestern wild look and skinny pencil skirts among others. Seems like patchwork has an essential part in the collection.

Denim accents

Tom Ford has done a great work patching up these denim pieces and turning them into complete outfits. The mix of denim-animal print is also interesting and one of a kind. Makes you feel wild, in a casual way. As you can see, he used a lot of patches, and the results are spectacular.

Animal print

Animal print always gives a certain attitude attached to the look. And if your name is, let’s say, Joan Smalls and you’re wearing a beautiful animal print fur coat, well then, no other words are needed, just: GORGEOUS!

Khaki, black or other earthy and camel tones go perfectly with animal print. If you got that covered, than you got everything.

Romantic features

Ford also added some romantic features to his collection. He gave the looks a certain peasant touch which goes hand in hand with those massive necklaces and the slightly messy hair. Long boots are also a key element. Peplum tops were preset to highlight these features.

Geometry

Geometric accents always played an important part in trends and tendancies. They are present in many runway shows and never really fade away. You can see how this pencil skirt is just the right fit for the black peplum top, and how the graphic on the dresses makes them look even longer than they are. The sequin dress with black geometric accents and the long earrings looks even more elegant. A wild vision.

Fringe

A major trend, fringe, entered the scene of Tom Ford’s collection on skirts, dresses, accessories. Fringe has the power to make clothes look trendy and versatile and ready to wear no matter the age. Anyone can wear it because it’s easy and brings a quality statement. Fringe will always give a bohemian touch to the outfit.

I, personally, love the white fringe dress. It’s unique.

A variety of trends (denim, prints, fringe, bohemian style), all in one collection. This is my conclusion regarding Tom Ford’s Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection for women.

In a breath-taking fashion career, we can say that Tom Ford knows how to seize the moment. Having his show to Los Angeles, a lot of his celebrity friends were there to support him. The fear factor about showing in front of all these people I know, professionals in the entertainment industry, really helped me. It pushed me.”
